Shirahige-jinja Shrine
  A big vermilion Torii Gate standing in the lake is very famous. The main shrine is a important cultural asset and prayers given here are believed to bring about longevity, childbirth, successful marriage, better fortune, etc.

Shin-Asahi Fushamura
  A "michino-eki" -roadside resting spot -noted for its Netherland-style windmill. At the Iris House you will find a restaurant, glass beads shop, flower shop and the Salt & Pepper Shakers Museum.

Kaizu-Osaki Cliff
  Known as "Hazy dawn and the granite cliff at Kaizuosaki" in the Eight Views of Biwako, it is also famous for its 4-kilometer cherry blossom tunnel on the lakeshore in spring and many people visit here to enjoy its beauty every year.

Hakodateyama - Ski Resort
  Enjoy a great view of magnificent Lake Biwa from the mountaintop, 547 meters above sea level. In winter, many people visit at the ski resort which has also a snowboarding area.
