Hieizan-Enryakuji Temple
  Established over 1200 years ago. In 1994, this temple was included in UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage Site. Occupying a vast 3 area in the mountains, this is also a magnificent training base as the head temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism.

Lake Biwa Pleasure Boats

The Lake Biwa Museum
  Visitors can learn all about Lake Biwa led by visual-oriented displays under a theme of "the Lake and People." Take your time and enjoy the display featuring the history of the lake, people's life on the lakeshore, and the typical world in the lake reproduced in a tunnel-shaped aquarium (considered as the best in Japan).

Biwako Valley(Nature Amusement Park)

The House of Ninja (Koka Ryu Ninjutsu Yashiki)
  Nestled among the verdant Shigaraki Mountains, this outstanding museum displays works of Japanese Art in the North Wing and antique art from other parts of the world in the South Wing. In the restaurant inside, you can enjoy cuisine using natural farm-grown vegetables.

The Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park
  In addition to the permanent exhibition of world ceramic art including Shigaraki Pottery, special exhibitions are often held. An institute of ceramic studies provides a base for young artists. Shops and restaurants are to be found in the exhibit hall of industrial ceramics.
