Kurokabe Glass Square(Black Wall's Square)
  A black-painted ancient bank was restored and became a glass gallery/shop called Kurokabe Glass Kan (Kurokabe No. 1), around which there are more than thirty similar glass galleries.

Nagahama Castle Historical Museum

Shiga Prefectural Samegai Trout Farm

Mount Ibuki
  You can enjoy skiing, climbing and paragliding in Mt. Ibuki, the highest mountain in Shiga, 1377 meters above sea level. From the end of July till mid August, various alpine flowers are in bloom on the top making it look like a flower garden.

Kogenji Temple (Doganji Kannon-Do)
  A standing beautiful eleven-faced Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) - a national treasure - that appeared in novels by Yasushi Inoue and Tsutomu Minakami was erected in the early Heian Period. Nearby, a historical folklore data museum offers full information about Kannon statues and Kannon Bodhisattva.
